Secretary of State and 2006 gubernatorial candidate Cathy Cox told WIN List supporters, "Georgia needs the compassion of women in the House and Senate."

She reported that the current push by Republicans to redraw district lines in the Athens area is an attempt to keep another WIN List-endorsed candidate from running for the seat narrowly lost by WIN List-endorsed candidate Becky Vaughn in 2004.
