Rep. DuBose Porter, House Minority Leader, reminded WIN List supporters of the need to start planning now for the 2008 elections.

 
Rep. Nikki Randall of Macon, vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus,  addressed the crowd and encouraged us to "stay fully informed during the legislative session."

 
Rep Kathy Ashe thanked WIN List for bringing bright, strong women into the Georgia legislature. She also lauded WIN for "taking on the hard races," noting that if PACs only back winners, there is no progress.

 
" I have found lots of people who are not happy with the politics and the policies of our state...," remarked Jane Kidd, Chair of the Georgia Democratic Party regarding her travels around the state.



Outgoing WIN List chair, Mary Long, introduced our new chair, Stacey Godfrey Evans to the group.

 
Evans' first act was to present Mary with a gift from the board, lauding her for her term as chair and her successful efforts to recruit excellent women candidates.
