EMILY’s List
National political network, raising campaign contributions for pro-choice
Democratic women candidates running for the House, the Senate and for governor. Ellen Malcolm founded EMILY's List (an acronym for Early Money Is Like Yeast...it makes the dough rise) when she saw that women were not getting the financial support they needed to be viable players in the political arena. Inspired by the success of EMILY's List on the national level, Georgia's WIN List was organized when a group of activists came together to talk about a statewide organization modeled on the national PAC. The association of EMILY's List on the national level and WIN List on the state level has been a highly successful one in terms of financial and training support given to our candidates.
